EQUIPMENT RENTED

Rental Period

Security deposit: $100.00 USD per Kayak
Late Return Fee: $40.00 Per Kayak/Per day

Damage Fee: Based on repair/replacement cost

I acknowledge that kayaking involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, death, or damage to property. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity and release Lake Life Cabin Rentals & Property Management LLC, its owners, employees, and affiliates from all liability.

I understand that I am fully responsible for the rented equipment and for my own safety.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lake Life Cabin Rentals & Property Management LLC from any claims, actions, damages, or liabilities arising from the use of the rented equipment.

• A US Coast Guard-approved PFD must be worn at all times while on the water.

• Alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited during kayak use.

• Equipment must not be transferred to another person without prior consent.

• Kayaks must not be used in rough waters, storms, or restricted areas.
  

  Renter must be 18 years or older, or have this agreement co-signed by a parent or guardian.

Renter agrees to return all equipment in the same condition in which it was received. Renter will be responsible for:

• Damage to or loss of kayak, paddles, or gear

• Excessive dirt or neglect (cleaning fee applies)

• If lost or damaged, the renter will be responsible to pay the charges accordingly.

• Any charges incurred by retrieval of kayak (if abandoned or unreturned), the renter will be responsible to pay for such charges.
  

• Cancellations more than 48 hours before scheduled rental: Full refund

• Cancellations within 48 hours: 50% refund

• No-show or same-day cancellation: No refund

• Weather-related cancellations at the discretion of Lake Life Cabin Rentals may be rescheduled or refunded.

• All renters must comply with Michigan boating laws and safety requirements.

• All equipment used for commercial rental is registered and insured as required by law.
